On the last weekend, our family went on a mission in search for a 老字号饼店- 陈福成饼家!! The shop was featured in one of the channel8's food variety show and my mum, being a fan of pastries (of any kind) of course want to have a try. :D
Details and reviews can be found here.
So dad stopped our car beside Amoy Street Food Center. I have a really bad impression of that food center. Maybe its Sunday, most of the stores were closed and the operating store and the environment was pretty bad. Bad I mean real bad. No cleaners and the way they handle the food is utterly *cough* unhygienic. Ugh... D:
So walked down the shops which are not in business. Pretty isolated and I felt somehow blessed and um retro. :D Why? Because the place is just like Haji lane, Chinatown whereby the houses are short and have big doors and windows with metal gates. :D I love these kind of things because IT IS RETRO! (again)
As we found the wrong number68... (The 68 is not the one that is near the food center and at the back.) We decided to find another 68. :O Woohoo!

So the journey continues. And managed to find the shop BUT sadly, it has no 马蹄酥 on Sundays! Aww my mum is sad. D: She's coming on a typical weekday with her friends I bet. :D
And just down a few 'doors' is one of the earliest temple in SIngapore!

Cool? xD For more photos do check out my facebook album here!
